About Me

I'm a crazy person (in a good way). I have so many hobbies that if I hadn't learned the pleasures of hobby addiction from my parents, then I'm positive that they would consider me a hobby hoarder. I've dabbled in lots of crafty hobbies, but I've found a few that really make me happy. Spinning, knitting, beading, ceramic chalking and baking. Each one of these hobbies has their own stash.

I grew up as the oldest child out of two girls. My parents taught me skills from their own lines of work and hobbies. Thanks to my dad, I learned to use the computer (floppy disks and all) at the tender age of two. My mom taught me the love of the kitchen and the desire for self-sustainability. While I may not be at a point in my life where I can apply many points of self-sustainability, I still enjoy learning so I (hopefully) can apply the knowledge one day.

I'm a writer. I love writing and I have loved writing from a young age. I attribute my addiction to reading and writing to the fact that I grew up without a television and with lots of books. My dad always joked that as a child, my library card had burn marks.

I am currently married and living in China. We have one cat that we are "teaching" to be social. When we return to the USA, she will return to her family and we will regain our collection of terroristic teenaged cats that my parents are caring for. (I think they will like the peace and quiet of their home.)
